  • Provide a strategic forum to discuss the development of the Free Zones sector in terms of production, processing and forwarding goods


  • Plan how to foster new industrial partnerships through the development of zones, logistics and transport/warehousing facilities between production centres and world markets


  • Bring together policy makers, industrial and financial corporations and funds to discuss new investment and business ideas


  • Increase the role of Free and Special Economic Zones in fostering trade development and investment between the Mediterranean basin and leading global economy markets (i.e. China, ASEAN, GCC, India etc.)

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Gioia Tauro is served by Lamezia Terme and Reggio Calabria airports. Among the two, Lamezia Terme Airport offers more flight availability.
Lamezia Terme Airport is connected to Milan Linate, Milan Malpensa, Milan Bergamo Orio al Serio and Rome Fiumicino with regular daily flights. Reggio Calabria is connected only to Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino.

Lamezia Terme Airport

    Located in the centre of Calabria region, at about 80 km (50 min. drive) from the Medcenter Container Terminal - Gioia Tauro area and it is easily reachable by car and train. Car transfer is recommended.

    By taxi: it is possible to book a transfer by calling +39 0968 51722 or +39 0968 51723. The cost is approximately € 150,00 both ways

    Car hire: Main companies (HERTZ - MAGGIORE - AVIS) have a desk in the Airport.

    By car: take the A3 highway (green signage) direction Reggio Calabria - exit ROSARNO and follow port indications.


Reggio Calabria Airport

    Located in the city of Reggio Calabria, at about 70 km (40 min. drive) from the Medcenter Container Terminal - Gioia Tauro area and it is reachable by car, train and bus. Car transfer is recommended.
